Mr. Vartkes Tomassian has amassed over 30 years of experience in project management, engineering and contract administration for major public works construction projects. His knowledge as a public works contractor extends from retrofitting bridges, highway & street construction, underground subterranean parking structures, as well as, institutional and commercial projects. He has been involved in many key projects with the Los Angeles Community College District, such as the Pierce College Old Bookstore renovation, Los Angeles Valley College campus improvements, & many more.
Formerly the Principal of Kahromic Contracting, which he established in 1983, Mr. Tomassian turned his attention to joining with the management of Urban Development and Infrastructure to launch Ian Thomas Group in 2008. He serves as the Principal in Charge and Project Manager on a number of institutional, industrial, and commercial projects. Vartkes has spent 20 years of his career developing long-term relationships with his clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, maximizing project cost figures in today’s market.
Mr. Tomassian has served on the fundraising committee of his local church and school as well as volunteered actively with various community organizations.
