Mr. Vahagn Thomasian with more than 20 years of experience, has performed numerous public works projects for the Los Angeles Unified School District, the Los Angeles Community College District, the City of Los Angeles Recreation and Parks, the City of Los Angeles Public Works Department, the City of Santa Monica, the County of Los Angeles, the City of Burbank, the City of Monrovia, the City of Glendale Department of Water and Power, the Mountain View School District, as well as countless private projects.
With a background in architecture, Mr. Thomasian has well-rounded knowledge of design and construction. He manages overall accountability for timely completion and project profitability.
He develops and coordinates project schedules, reports and documentation from pre-construction through closeout. Vahagn possesses extensive experience utilizing project management applications. He expertly manages relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, architects, and engineers on a professional level. He also has hands-on experience with contract negotiation, budget preparation, and executing change orders.
Vahagn Thomasian founded Datum Group in 1993 and since then has gone on to establish Urban Development and Infrastructure until finally merging with the management of Kahromic Contracting in 2008 to found Ian Thomas Group, Inc.
In addition to his dedication to his work related projects, Vahagn has volunteered and served on the board of Land and Culture Organization in excess of ten years. During this time, he has served the organization’s purpose of restoring and rebuilding ancient and old structures and homes in underdeveloped countries. He has also been a longtime volunteer and benefactor for several community organizations.
